Terms of Service

Pocket Deckers is a venue that connects individual buyers and individual sellers of Pokémon trading cards in Canada. When you buy a card through the site, you are buying it from the seller who listed it, not from Pocket Deckers. We are not the seller of record for any listing, and we do not take ownership of any card at any point.

Pocket Deckers v1 serves Canada only. You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your province of residence to buy or sell here.

Buying is open to anyone who creates an account. Listing a card for sale is currently invite-only, and a seller cannot publish a listing until Stripe has confirmed their connected account can both accept charges and receive payouts. We do not otherwise vet sellers.

Every listing is one specific physical card. Condition, and for graded cards the grading company, grade, and certificate number, are entered by the seller. We do not independently verify condition, authenticity, or grades against any grading company's records — there is no automated certificate lookup in v1. Photos and the seller's written description are the buyer's basis for evaluating a card before buying.

Price and shipping cost are set by the seller for each listing.

All payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay for an order, your payment goes to Stripe, not to Pocket Deckers — we do not receive, hold, or have custody of buyer funds at any point. Stripe holds the money until the order is ready to be paid out to the seller.

Pocket Deckers charges the seller a platform fee of 9% of the item price. Shipping cost is not subject to this fee and is passed to the seller in full.

All prices on the site are in Canadian dollars (CAD).

After payment succeeds, the seller is expected to ship the card and add tracking information. Once you confirm receipt, the order is marked delivered and a 3-day hold begins. If no issue is raised during the hold, Pocket Deckers instructs Stripe to release payment to the seller once the hold ends. If tracking is never added, or the order is never marked delivered, the order can be automatically cancelled, refunded, or moved into dispute review — see our Refunds & Disputes policy for how that works.

Card names, images, and set data are sourced in part from the public Pokémon TCG API and may be incomplete, delayed, or occasionally unavailable; we do not guarantee their accuracy. We do not guarantee the site will be available without interruption.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity on your account. A seller can take their own listing down at any time. There is currently no in-product mechanism for us to suspend an account or remove someone else's listing — if we become aware of fraud or misuse, we handle it manually rather than through an automated enforcement tool.

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which Pocket Deckers operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
