WHERE ASH LEAVES

If you stopped watching years ago, this is the part that changed. Ash's story ends in To Be a Pokémon Master, an eleven-episode send-off closing out Ultimate Journeys in 2023. Its final episode was the 1,232nd of his run, and the last one he appears in as the lead.

Horizons then starts over with a new cast — Liko and Roy — the first Pokémon series since 1997 not built around him.

SPECIALS & SPIN-OFFS

Shorter productions outside the main run, and where the franchise does its more interesting work — most are closer to the games than the show is, and several are aimed at adults who grew up with it.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK, AND WHAT THIS LIST COVERS

The pictures here are cards, not series logos. The official logos are Nintendo / Creatures / Game Freak property, and all but one of them exist online only as non-free files licensed for use in an encyclopedia article and nowhere else — so they are not reproduced here. Instead every series shows a card whose set shipped while that series was airing, which on a card site is the more useful picture anyway.

The list covers every animated series, special and theatrical film, using the English-language season titles — which do not always line up with how the series is divided in Japan. It does not cover individual episodes, the live-action Detective Pikachu, or web shorts never given a series name.
